In-Character Information

Name: Ib
Game/Series: Ib
Teacher/Student/Other: Student
Canon Point: Post-Game - Memory Crannies Ending
Age: 9
Grade Level/Class Taught/Job: Elementary???
Dorm or Living Arrangement: Dorms please

Personality:
To most people, Ib is... not like most children to her age. Generally, children her age often are demanding, emotional, and far very vocal- the brunette isn't any of those. For a child who comes from a fairly (well, modestly speaking) wealthy family, Ib tries not to be spoiled rotten people expect from her age and social status. And really, it's all out of love. Her parents remains fairly close to her despite being busy, and when they do make a bit of a family activity, Ib tries to behave the best she could. For someone her age, she understands that she doesn't always have time to be with her parents- whom use the very few free time they could to be with their only daughter, so she understands that she would waste their time if she doesn't behave and do as they told her to do. She loves both her parents dearly, and it would make her feel guilty if she were to disappoint them.

And so, by first impressions, most people would say that Ib's... very quiet. She doesn't speak unless people asks her directly, and when she couldn't simply just shake or nod her head as a response. You wouldn't see her running off on her own unless she was allowed to explore around, and even then she wouldn't go very far unless she remembers how to go back to her original spot. More than often, people would say that she's almost the perfect daughter every parent dreamed off. The only possible downside to her being everyone's dream -daughter is that her expressions tend to be limited, making her seem like an emotionless doll to some. She's not very emotive unless feeling a certain strong sense of emotions, it's not that she tries to be stoic; it rather that she's just naturally isn't someone who would do facial expressions.

During the time she was trapped in the gallery, Ib's rose is colored red. In floriography, a red rose is often associated with keywords such as 'I love you', passion, love, respect and courage. As the rose is her lifeline in the bizarre gallery, the color of the rose can also be said to reflect her personality. And without a doubt, it's evident that Ib is courageous, with her being mostly on her own at first but it's also worth to mention that she was trying not to be a burden to Garry once she was with the older man. Though bravery isn't the only thing the red rose suit for Ib- but also passion and love, and while it's true she seems mostly stoic at times, Ib actually loves and cares for the people around her. As mentioned before, Ib often puts people first before herself; like how she loves her parents and wants them to be happy. Even to Mary, whom she fears if she ever recalled the incidents or meet her again, she actually cares for the blond girl and ultimately thinks of her as a friend. Whereas the actions that killed Mary in her were purely out of self-defense.

Ultimately, however, Ib is still a young girl- which is something that still should be considered of. While she is considered to take being suddenly thrust into bizarre world rather fairly well, she's still a child and she did reached into a breaking point where she was actually terrified about the gallery. In fact, she was honestly scared despite trying to be calm about the situation. The problem being is that prior to the incident in the gallery, she seems to not really reach out to anyone because she didn't fully act as herself, only to be a prim, proper young girl. She loves people, she cares very much of them- but her emotions tend to not reach out to many people thanks to her mostly behaving stoic and introvert, it's not that she doesn't try either but it's more that she doesn't know how to exactly act it out right aside from being prim, proper and, to the eyes of some, stiff. The friendship that she and Garry shared helped, it was a special, almost sibling-figure love. But, unfortunately, not enough to make her remember their time in the gallery- the older man himself included.

So in short, she's considerably mature and smart for her age, but she's also still a child on the long road of growing up.

Backstory:
Ib's life before the gallery wasn't anything beyond the average, or maybe just a bit over average. Sure, she comes from a wealthy family and whenever she's suppose to go to her parents grown-up parties, everyone says she acts more mature than her age. But, aside from that, nothing out of the ordinary- she goes to school, she has a few friends, she likes to draw a bit and she likes to play puzzles from time to time. Nothing out of the ordinary, really.

Then one day, the young girl's parents decided to take her to the gallery, they were showing exhibits of a famous painter called Guertena- her parents thought that the brunette is old enough to appreciate art, especially from someone well known as Guertena. Ib herself on the other hand, was more than happy to go along, it's rare for her parents to take her somewhere lately! And maybe the art gallery would be filled with interesting paintings!

Things however start to feel eerie and before she knew it, she was suddenly in lone corridor by herself. Turn to another corner and walk towards a pair of stairs, the brunette found herself in an area of that wasn't pristine white but a rich shade of blue. Maybe it was a different part of the exhibit? Ib eventually meets the end with a red rose, curiously, she took it and something felt even more odd about the gallery.

Walking her way around, she then entered an area of green, and there the pit of her stomach felt even worse. And right to her intuition, there were suddenly arms outstretching to grab her- the brunette manage to flee but only to find herself in another puzzle to avoid the headless mannequin lady who suddenly started chasing her. Even if there was another person with her, without asking, she already manage to put two and two together; this was some sort of nightmarish world that looked almost like the real art gallery she was visiting. However, Ib will not be afraid- no panicking will probably do no good when you're lost, more so in such a dangerous place.

Strange enough, this world seems to consist some sort of riddles or puzzles for her to figure out. Like the question to which painting was lying, to what the number combination for the door was, or to find the wooden fish for the cat open it's mouth. Eventually though, she would find a man lying unconscious on the floor, but she was rather suspicious of him- especially considering the situation.

Cautiously however, she tried to get a closer look on this man.

....!

He doesn't... look like some sort of malicious painting or artwork, in fact, he may even be in the same situation as her! And judging from the looks of it, he looked like he was injured! Nervously, Ib told the man to wait while she try to find something to help the man. Not far from the previous room, in the next appears to be a painting fiddling around a blue rose behind a window in that room. Unfortunately, it's locked. But that rose, It looked like hers... and her rose was briefly damage by another painting before. She was afraid, there was no doubt about it, but that rose possibly belonged to the man from the previous room. The brunette gathered courage, going back to the first room and borrow the key she previously saw near the man and try to first draw the painting's attention to chase her, before she quickly avoid the painting's clutches and grab the man's blue rose.

Just barely, Ib manage to escape and come back to the previous room. Even with the rose now safely with her, it seems like it's still not enough... Or perhaps, maybe, she needs to find those vases again- didn't that helped magically put her own rose back into full health before? It was worth the try, and after carefully placing the blue rose, it was suddenly engulfed by light just before it went back to full health! Going back to the previous room, the man looks healthier now, which after some explanations; Ib now knew the man's name, Garry, and that indeed he was in the same situation as her. With that, the two decides to stick together. And that's okay with Ib, Garry seems like a nice man, a bit weird, but she feels comfortable with him.

And so the two venture through the gallery, before coming across a very, very dangerous room. How so? The room was crawling with several mannequins and lady paintings, this was an absolutely dangerous situation. Though within this area, lies a small room. That room had a portrait of a familiar couple, her parents... Garry seems to sense her fear despite her determination to not be a burden and show that kind of emotion, and he gently tried to comfort the brunette. Well would, until they were ambushed by a painting. As predicted, the situation was dangerous and that they have to avoid all these enemies closing in.

Yet again, honestly, fear consumed Ib but she tried her best not to succumb to it- no matter how much she was terrified. Once they manage to exit out that nightmare of a room however, the fatigue caught up to Ib and before she knew it- she can only see darkness. Alone, nervously trying to open up each door at the end, trying hard to avoid the monsters closing in behind her before she reached a dead end. No help, all alone.

The brunette woke up in sweat and found herself in a small room adorn with thankfully only books, it seems like someone had used their coat as her blanket during her unconsciousness. Garry had noticed she had woken up. The two didn't immediately settle out, instead took the time for a breather and talk a bit. As comforting Garry can be, she wasn't still quite settle with him- he's very nice though, very caring. It kinda reminds her of her own mother, it sort of doesn't help that he kinda talks like a lady.

After a moment of rest, the two finally set out again. Going through puzzles to puzzles, riddles to riddles whilst avoiding the art gallery's residences. Eventually though, at middle of a hall, they came across to a blond girl- possibly not too far from Ib's own age. Her name was Mary, she seems like a silly girl, she also seems to found herself in the gallery world. While she really like Garry, Ib was also happy to meet someone her own age and try to greet Mary warmly as she could- she seems to be happy with the brunette. That's good!

With that, there were now the three of them, going through almost another set of puzzles. However, it was cut short when Garry was forcibly separated from Ib and Mary, but the old man assured to the two young girls that it was okay and that he'll find a way. Well, both sides try to figure out a set of puzzles that go hand in hand with another, so that Garry will soon reunite with the two.

While on the way, Mary suddenly engaged a rather strange conversation with her, something about how someone might left behind and the like. Actually, scratch that, Mary was acting stranger by the minute in general. Her laughs started to sound more force and there was an eerie gleam in her eye, especially when things start to get even more strange and she had a strange feeling Mary might do something to her, something unpleasant.

And just before she could tell what, Garry suddenly rushed in and pushed Mary before dragging Ib off away from the blond girl. While running away, Garry tries to explain the blond girl was not what she seemed, in fact, she was the final painting of Guertena. A resident of the gallery.

And so began the fear-fueled game of cat and mouse, which the two try to hide from Mary while trying to find possible leads of escape. It can be said that everything was fine at first, before they suddenly come into an area that was akin to something like Ib's old drawings from the 1st grade- a town only exclusive drawn with crayons, except there was still the eerie atmosphere that was the gallery. After some exploring while solving the puzzle the area had to offer, it seems like it was another dead end before something -Mary- pushed them into their toy box. Yet again, it was a nightmare filled with the gallery's resident. Hurriedly, they try their best to avoid the creatures and reach to find somewhere to escape and head for the next room through the stair and small hall.

The room proved to be a dead end, but there was Mary's painting at the end- unfortunately however, there was Mary herself near the exit. It was clear that she was on the very edge, and before they knew it, she was angry. Very angry. And was closing in on them, ready to stab either her or Garry with that palette knife on her hand, quickly they ran to avoid Mary and reached close to her painting. In a state of panic, Ib used the lighter Garry had hand her earlier and proceed to burn Mary, making her disappear from existence completely.

Everything was almost over, the last piece was to find a way outside of the sketchbook world and the exit. But at least, it seems like the number of residence in the gallery had subside when they made Mary vanish. And so they walked around, and eventually found stairs leading down... and before they know it, those stairs lead to a hall and that hall held one lone painting; the same painting that look like the one she last saw before suddenly being in the gallery.

She tried to read the painting's name, "??? world", which Garry helped her and said the painting's name is 'Fabricated World". And Garry theorized that, since it looked like a painting of the real world gallery, it might possibly be a portal back. Then suddenly, the frames disappear, and it looked like a portal. The older man was rather hesitant, but he then bravely try to prove the theory by jumping into the painting. It was the portal! They were on the way back home, she can see her parents soon!

But then, a familiar voice rang, before they walk in and confirm why it was familiar- it was her mother. The brunette women scolded her, saying how she had wandered to far and she was looking everywhere for Ib. Garry on the other hand yelled within the portal, telling her not to be fooled and it was another trick of the gallery. The gallery had really played her this time, using a trick like that. Both respective parties where telling to Ib to come with them, and in midst of the confusion, the young girl reached for Garry's arm. Right, that may look like her mother but that was an illusion, once she jump into the portal; she and Garry will be in the real world.

... what happened?

Ib felt like she was in a daze, she was in a exhibit of the gallery, but she can't really recall why she felt like it was longer than just a few seconds. She turned left and right, and noticed no one was around this hall. She was feeling somehow uneasy, and in need to check if anyone else was around in the other halls, and to her comfort, there they all were- looking around in the statues and paintings in the art museum.

Walking around, she reached back to the statue of giant rose, she remember seeing this a few minutes back. Why does it feel more important though- there's a lot of weird feelings in her head, but she honestly couldn't place why they're there or why she felt there was a huge, missing gap in her memory. Next to her was a man... why was she noting this? This man's features, they were rather strange, but familiar. But with such unique features, she should have easily recall him, but she couldn't even place why. She wanted to ask him, but he was staring rather seriously to the painting, maybe in serious thought.

A familiar voice however suddenly rang not far from her, it was mom. She was saying how she wondered the young girl wandered off to and asking how she like the gallery. It's... nice? Scary for some reason. The day ended rather normally, with her mom ushering her that dad was waiting and that the two might take Ib to dinner out in a bit. Things went on like normal.

But that was the strange thing about it.

Since the gallery, Ib had been having nightmares, and what makes it bother her the most is that they end up being vague for her to identify even one thing after she wakes up. It's some luck that it didn't affect her school things or catch her parents radar, the last thing she wanted was for them to worry. No sir, she didn't want them to worry.

If anything, Ib tried to forget this strangeness and focus on school things. Then one day, somehow despite not having the intention the slightest, Ib manage to get an offer for a prestigious exchange program to Smash Academy. By now, Ib had succeeded on forgetting the nightmares and the missing memories that had bothered her, and without second thoughts, she eagerly told her parents about the program. With the young girl being mature and seem to be eager to take part, her parents did a discussion before giving her their support and approval to take part of the program.
Anything Else?:

- So low down is that basically everything is tears and Ib remembers no one from the gallery fun times. 8')

Thread in Edgeworth's post, fun times.
Musebox post

[Bzzt bzz, video feed here and showing a rather pair of intense red eyes staring into the camera. It was Ib's first try with this video feed thing, she hasn't learned much how computer works.]

Hello.

[..... Maybe she should say something more... those giant Hands did encourage her to introduce herself.]

My name is Ib, I'm new here.

[This should be good? Well, if people reply back, she'll try to be more talkative!]

In-Character 3rd person sample:
Ib curiously stare at the laptop the school had given to her upon arrival. Her hand carefully touch the smooth, new keyboards as she pay more attention to the gleam of shine on the edge of the monitor part. She had tried her dad's computer once, but never to the point of understanding how things work except opening up programs like Ms. Word and Ms. Paint.

The teacher told her that the school had a net-work thing, something so you can tell other students and teacher about things. She doesn't quite understand yet, but they assure to her that she'll have a better understanding if she gives it a try first. Well... if they so?

Still, either way, it really is nice of them to give students laptop. She doesn't even know how much it costs, but she can imagine it could have been troublesome. She frowned to herself, she doesn't really need a computer much now that she think about it, but they insist that every student should have one of sort at least...

Well, time to give it a try- Ib clicked on the new post option like what the teacher said and clicked for the video feed, since reading might confuse her more than when she hears a new word instead.

"Hello."
